Found Freedoms of the Heart

An April Full Moon blessing for the new beginnings of Spring and found freedoms of the Heart.

For Light and Darkness:
“Light cannot see inside things.
That is what the dark is for:
Minding the interior,
Nurturing the draw of growth
Through places where death
In its own way turns to Life.”

For Shifting Seasons:
“The tight solitude of a seed,
Allowing it time
To shed the grip of former form
And give way to a deeper generosity
that will one day send it forth,
A tree into springtime,
May all that holds you
Fall from its hungry ledge
Into the fecund surge of your Heart.”

Spring Equinox Blessings

Offering up this despacho to this life affirming time: from the thawing ground, tree buds, and to all the bird songs welcoming this ‪Spring‬ season. Moving from darkness to Light and celebrating all the nuances in-between.

In nature’s beauty I walk and find my way. ‪

“When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world.” ~ John Muir

Saving Graces

Every tiny bud, a sign that life is returning.

As the Sun always rises after the dark night, as the Moon always becomes full again after emptying herself to darkness, Spring always returns to chase away Winter’s slumber. Light always returning after the passing of the dark.

It never ceases to amaze me, all the cycles in nature, reflected within ourselves. Everything, waning and waxing. Always in cycles.

The Season Of Renewal

Listen to what is true.
Listen to the beat of your own Sacred Heart.
Remember it. Take refuge there.

Renewal comes in cycles.

As Spring approaches we are given the opportunity to come out from under Winter’s cloak, shake off the quiet slumber and choose again. Choose again the direction that our beating Sacred Heart whispers to us to follow. Listen.

Welcome April!

After this particularly cold and relentless Winter, I’m embracing this shift with arms wide open and with a sigh of relief.

This month has always spoken to me of renewal and beginnings after the Winter thaw, when Spring really takes hold. May we rise from our slumber into the light with a fresh perspective and Hearts open to the new adventures ahead.‬

“If you listen,
not to the pages or preachers
but to the smallest flower
growing from a crack in your heart,
you will hear a great song
moving across a wide ocean
whose water is the music;
connecting all the islands
of the universe together,
and touching all
you will feel it
touching you
around you,
embracing you
with light.

It is in that light
that everything lives
and will always be alive.”

Hello March

Even though Winter holds so much beauty and invites us all to find more time to rest, I am always so excited to say good bye to February and say a great big hello to March!!! Spring, I’m looking forward to you.

“Mother of Nature talks with her skin.
Stone person,
Wild Flower,
And Wolf are her friend.

Weaving the rhythms of the seasons,
She rides the Winds of change,
Opening her Heart with gladness,
A shelter from hunger and pain.

Guardian of the needs of Earth,
Making relatives great and small,
Mother, I see you in the dewdrop,
I hear you in the Eagle’s call.”

Happy First Day of Spring

Spring Compass Mandala by Jenn Grosso

As the wheel continues to turn, the balance moves from dark to light, sleep to growth. we move always in circles, spiraling forward. I welcome spring with this mandala, a compass of sorts.

Even though it might not quite look like spring yet… we can begin to feel it in the air. Hello spring I’m ready.

“There might be snow or ice on the ground, there might be harsh winds. The entire world is purifying itself, cleansing away the dead and dirty and moving toward balance. Shouldn’t we do the same? ~ The Lunar Tao

“I hope you will go out and let stories happen to you, and that you will work them, water them with your blood and tears and your laughter till they bloom, till you yourself burst into bloom.” ~ Clarissa Pinkola Estés
