The Sweet Promise Of Renewal

After every Dark Season, there is always the return of the Light…

I’m sharing my New Moon – New Year Tarot reading over on my dear friend Kate Bartolotta’s website. She created an incredible offering to help open ourselves up to this time of possibility. I hope that in sharing this New Moon – New Year reading, that you can find some inspiration for the letting go of the no longer to be carried and the holding on of what really grips your heart.

May the sweet promise of renewal bring you healing, comfort and your heart’s desire.

Gather Your Candles

Gather your candles,
and bring your own Light to the Darkness.

Sit with your Holy Ghosts,
the shadows of your heartbreak and disappointment.
Past elements that linger,
to remind you of the work you still must do.

Greet them like the old friends they are.
Thank them for their part in your own transformation.

Then release them into the Flames.

Offering up this despacho to this life affirming time: from the thawing ground, tree buds, and to all the bird songs welcoming this ‪Spring‬ season. Moving from darkness to Light and celebrating all the nuances in-between.

In nature’s beauty I walk and find my way. ‪

“When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world.” ~ John Muir

Surrender To Your Silence

“Silence and Winter has led me to that otherness.
So let this Winter of listening be enough,
For the new life I must call my own.”
~ David Whyte

Surrender to your Silence
Surrender to the Silence of this sleeping land
Surrender to the Silence of this season
This is the time for Listening.

The Winter Solstice is a time to celebrate the growth done in Darkness and the slow magic of the Light in it’s own time. Once again the wheel turns towards the waxing journey of the Light, but this is not done quickly. Slowly we listen, slowly we awaken. The dance of light and shadows continues on. But here on this day, we are assured that the Light will always return.

All Is One

Take a seat at the foot of Eternity’s Altar
There is no one place for this, it is everywhere
Anywhere
Everywhere
Light the candle that is your Heart
This light radiates beyond all created boundaries.

If the sum of it all comes crashing in,
If the overwhelm engulfs you
Take a seat at the foot of Eternity’s Altar
And light the candle that is your Heart
This light radiates everywhere
Anywhere
Everywhere.

Everywhere Anywhere

In the Garden of Shadows and Light

In the Garden of Shadows and Light

Have you ever talked back to the darkness? Perhaps even breathed into it. The light is just on the other side. It is through traversing the wild and untamable landscape of darkness that we can have a better understanding of our polarity. We become Warriors of Light by befriending the Dark.

“I have learned things in the dark that I could never have learned in the light, things that have saved my life over and over again, so that there is really only one logical conclusion. I need darkness as much as I need light.” ~ Barbara Brown Taylor, Learning to Walk in the Dark
