New Moon Healing

Tonight’s collection as I sit with this New Moon who is asking me to define all the ways in which I am healing…

“So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing.” ~ T.S. Eliot

I’ve been taking a cue from November’s bones, who speak to me of dismantling all my intentions {right down to the bones} and re-evaluating what I want to continue carrying, letting everything else fall away.

There is lightness and freedom here – and more room to breathe.

Tending to The Bones

Mary Oliver + the classic Tagore for Sadhana tonight. Practice repeat and lose yourself in the here and now – in the “untrimmable light of the world”.

{Mindful} by Mary Oliver

Every day
I see or hear
something
that more or less

kills me
with delight,
that leaves me
like a needle

in the haystack
of light.
It was what I was born for –
to look, to listen,

to lose myself
inside this soft world –
to instruct myself
over and over

in joy,
and acclamation.
Nor am I talking
about the exceptional,

the fearful, the dreadful,
the very extravagant –
but of the ordinary,
the common, the very drab,

the daily presentations.
Oh, good scholar,
I say to myself,
how can you help

but grow wise
with such teachings
as these –
the untrimmable light

of the world,
the ocean’s shine,
the prayers that are made
out of grass?
